The Mustang has a reputation for being stylish and powerful. And its newest iteration, the Mach-E, similarly follows suit. As an all-electric SUV based on the classic muscle car design, the Mach-E boasts outstanding performance, good range, and a plethora of tech. This year, Ford is updating the Mustang Mach-E. Now, this SUV is a more efficient motor, upping its range to 320 miles. There is also a new trim offered called the Rally, which is a light off-road model. With the Rally, drivers can expect to find an updated front end with a set of fog lights, a high-mounted spoiler on the tailgate, and updated tires. Additionally, there's an optional package called Bronze Appearance. This package offers bronze-colored wheels and a bronze-colored grille and is only available for the GT trim.
Two batteries power the new Mach-E. There's the standard range that uses a 70.0-kWh battery, and an extended-range version uses a 91.0-pack. Each battery powers an electric motor, which can be mounted on the rear axle or both. If mounted on both axles, the Mach-E gains all-wheel drive.
As for its performance numbers, these are dependent on the trim. The Select, for instance, outputs around 266 horsepower, whereas the highest trim, the GT, can output 480 horsepower.

The Mach-E's range depends on trim, drivetrain, and battery equipped. The Select, with a rear-wheel-drive, has a range of about 247 miles; with all-wheel drive, it has an estimated 224 miles. By comparison, GT trims with the same setups get between 260 and 270 miles of range.
The Mustang Mach-E has similar design elements to its sports car counterpart. The interior is entirely unique, with a streamlined dashboard, a digital gauge, and a vertically mounted touchscreen. The touchscreen features Ford's next-generation Sync infotainment system. This system offers Pepeekeo drivers over-the-air updates along with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot.
With no traditional engine, Ford has converted the front of the vehicle to extra storage with about 4.7 cubic feet of space. The main cargo area offers 29 cubic feet of space and up to 60 cubic feet with the seats folded.
The Mach-E is an EV designed with safety in mind. As such, Pahoa shoppers will receive automated emergency braking, forward-collision warning, and a blind-spot monitor as standard equipment. Adaptive cruise control with hands-free driving is optional.
There are four trims for the Mustang Mach-E.
Select: The Select is the base model, and it features a 15.5-inch touchscreen, a navigation system, and a six-speaker audio system as standard. Adaptive cruise control, frontal collision mitigation, and a blind-spot monitor are also available.
California Route 1: Expands on the Selects design with more convenience and technology features. These features include heated exterior mirrors, Ford's BlueCruise system, an automated parking system, and heated front seats.
Premium: This trim combines all the features of the first two trims along with more luxurious options. An insulated front window, multi-color ambient lighting, and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system are all standard.
GT: This performance model is similarly equipped to the Premium, though without Ford's BlueCruise system and panoramic glass roof. This model offers 20-inch wheels, a sports suspension, and sports front seats with additional strengthening and microfiber upholstery inserts.
Rally: The new Rally trim offers rally-inspired performance to excel off-road. There's also a 0.8-inch lift and additional underbody protection. Also, it gets around 250 miles and a 91.0-kWh battery.
