Safe Cruising in the Ford Taurus

There's nothing better than cruising on the highway. However, the scenery and monotony of the open road make it easy to lose focus. Luckily, Ford has you covered with the new Taurus. This popular full-sized sedan is available with Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning.

Adaptive Cruise Control operates similarly to standard cruise control. However, it uses cameras and sensors to monitor your surroundings. They can detect when traffic starts to slow down. The Taurus will keep up with the flow of traffic, even if you have to come to a complete stop.

Forward Collision Warning is available on many Taurus models at Orchid Isle Auto Center. It uses the same sensors as the previous feature. However, it looks out for potential collisions. If it detects an issue, audible and visual alerts will start to go off. In the event that you don't respond in time, the Taurus may apply the brakes automatically to avoid an accident.
